Develops the habits necessary for personal effectiveness

The 7 Habits Foundations is a perfect introduction to Stephen R. Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®. This one-day course will provide you with essential insights into the habits that are at the heart of effectiveness in your personal and professional life.

 

Scott Kimerer - K. Scott Kimerer is excited to join Franklin Covey to pay forward the experience of a 38-year career in law enforcement. He spent much of his tenure in leadership and command for the King County (WA) Sheriff’s Office. In 2003, he was selected as the Police Chief for Burien (WA) and served for 14 years. He is a graduate of the FBI’s National Academy, Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar and Command College.

 

What You Will Cover:

Habits 1-3: The Habits of the Private Victory®: In the first three habits, you’ll build your “Character” by focusing on leading and managing yourself. Specifically, you will learn to:

  • Accept full responsibility for your choices, moods, actions and outcomes
  • Set goals that align with your unique mission and purpose
  • Learn how to execute those goals by staying focused on what is most important, not just most urgent

Habits 4-6: The Habits of the Public Victory®: In the next three habits, you’ll develop your ability to have long-term, effective relationships. Specifically, you will learn to:

  • Adopt the mindset of mutual abundance in every encounter
  • Communicate effectively with others by listening and advocating with empathy and respect
  • Solve problems synergistically to arrive at newer, more creative solutions

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw®: In this habit, you will develop your capacity for renewal and continuous growth. Specifically you will learn to:

  • Understand the connection between self-renewal and mastery of the other six habits
  • Increase motivation, energy, and work/life balance by making time for renewing activities
